Have you ever asked God to help you to be kind?

Have you ever asked God to give you peace?

​

Have you ever asked God to help you to love?

​

Guess what?!  If you are IN CHRIST, He already did it for you the moment you were born again, the life of God was deposited in your spirit.  You were born again of a seed that's incorruptible, a seed that holds in it life that naturally produces kindness, peace and love.  IT'S IN YOU!!!

You need never ask God to give it to you again.  You need only to go for the WORD!!

...that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of EVERY GOOD THING that is IN YOU in Christ Jesus. (Philemon 6)

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness by the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Peter 1:3)

​

In both of these verses, the English word 'acknowledgment' or 'knowledge' is the Greek word 'epignosis.'  Epignosis is the precise, correct and complete knowledge of the things of God.  So the Spirit of God is letting us know (by Paul and Peter) that the knowledge (epignosis) we have of God brings to our consciousness EVERY GOOD THING that is in us.  Everything that is in us is ALL WE NEED for life and godliness - it's already IN YOU!

That is why it is necessary that you develop a voracious appetite for the WORD.  God has already given (past tense) all you need - its in YOU - all you need to do is BRING IT OUT and you do that by GOING FOR THE WORD.

​

Therefore you never need to ask God to make you kind, or to give you peace, or to help you love.  As you study the Word, you'd find those characteristics already belong to you.

​

In the words of Jude, Kindness, Peace, Love - may they NEVER STOP BLOOMING in you and from you!!
